Sir Fredrick VonFearghas is a Dark Dragoon from the world of FF9. Brumecia in fact...the land of eternal rains. Long white hair and black and white clothing. the only splotches of color are his red eyes (he's an albino) and his red amulet.
Banished from the Brumecian court when he tried to insight an uprising agaisnt the king who he felt had 'lost the noble warriors spirit' when he declared peace with the other two kingdoms of the Mist continent. He now wanders the dreary lands of Brumecia, slaying the most powerful of dragons without fear or mercy...Training for the day when he will rebuild the kingdom of Brumecia to it's former glory as one of the most feared warrior nations.
His personality is best described as cold and aloof...but at some times as homocidaly insane. Basically he's a cross between 'Vampire Hunter D' from the anime of the same title and 'Guts' from Berserk.
His first name 'Fredrick' was the first name that poped into my head when I made him. The nickname 'Fritz' came later as an homage to Fritz Von Eric and because I tried to think of him saying his full name and failed.
If anyone ever asked his name he'd say 'Fritz...' in almost a whisper...and then impale them on his spear.
His last name Fearghas is irish and means 'man of vigor'. It was the name of a warrior prince in irish legend. Fritz is a warrior prince, but a cold one at that...something like Vlad the Impaler only less sadistic.
The wings on his hat are black angelic as a bit of a corruption of Sir Fratly's hat. He wears a large red broach on an iron chain who's origins are with his bloodline but so far those origins and it's purpose are unknown.
The dragon skull shoulder guards are from the first dragon he ever killed. It was when he was but a youth and a two headed beast was ravaging his family...they actually tore apart and ate his sister between them. He killed the dragon in cold, pure rage...and kept their skulls as trophies.
Yes, along with his traditional Brumecian Dragoon attire he wears a batlike cape reminicent of Dracula. Why? Simple...it also imitates the wings of a dragon and is easy to conceal himself with in the dark and dreary landscape. Also at one point I considered making him a Count...which I still may.
the tail is bandaged because it's been lopped off in many fights. the tip is dead to any feeling. It's not meant to be black but I kind of fucked it up in this so consider it shading. i also screwed up the spear.
The hardest part about drawing fritz was gettign the legs right. this is the ONLY one I've been happy with abotu the legs so far. The leggings are like modifed strap up boots. i may modifythem further later.
So yes...this is Fritz. My FF9 made fan character because I suddenly discovered Freya Cresent is cool tell Square to sue me
Fritz belongs ot me
Brumecia, Brumecians, but hopefully NOT Dark Dragoons belong to SquareEnix
heheh...thats the whole point. Dark Dragoons aren't known for being nice.
